I was blog hopping the other day. Karen over at N&S was talking about Halloween and Fall. I *heart* Fall. I don’t know what it is about the cooling air (though as I mentioned in the comments of her blog–Fall here is 96° to 45° in about a week, no in between and the leaves pretty much go from green to the ground, but still, I *heart* Fall.).
And don’t forget about all the football–this is Texas, it’s pretty much a staple . . .
There is something so homey about the smells that waft on the air: Apples, cinnamon, baking bread and the ever present chocolate–and uber amounts of cookie dough in our house. I tend to bake about 100 dozen cookies (yes you read that right 1-0-0 dozen–I like cookies, they make a great gift and easy treats for parties) from about mid-October til Christmas.
It’s a cozy time of year. You want to curl up with a good book, a good man or a good movie–sometimes all of the above.
I love fall also! My favorite time of year. And did you mention cookies???? I ‘heart’ cookies. Soft, chewy kind. As long as they are not peanut butter cookies. That is the only kind I refuse to eat.
I make them ALL–Snickerdoodles

Chocolate Chip
Mint Chip ooh-lala
Chocolate, chocolate chip
and don’t forget the butter cookies
I do make peanut butter, but the DH is the only one who will eat those here so I don’t make as many.
